This is pathetic. I am just trying to figure out how to post my next blog. I use to think I was computer savvy, by now I am not so sure! I have been inspired by reading NieNie's blog. She is such an incredible woman and I am glad that she is sharing with the world her frustrations and wonderful insights on life while dealing with being burned over 80% of her body from a plane accident. She has a strength that we can all learn from. When she talked about the love she has with her husband, it brought tears to my eyes. I went through something similar when my husband was recovering from being hit by a truck 16 years ago. The love bond between us was cemented. I say AMEN to her words, and I couldn't say them any better, and I won't even try.

It is now the last day of June. So far the summer is going great. We have not done a whole lot, but the good thing is that no one has received any injuries so far! - OK, Kylee JUST walked in the door crying because she hit her head on the garage door! Ok, at least it is not serious! There is always something going on at my house.
- Currently, the day care kids are playing toy store. One person in the cashier, and the other kids have to "buy" toys from her.
- Cambrie and the neighbor kids, Makenzie and Allyson are in the process of setting up a lemonaid stand. I told Cambrie she needed to pay me a portion of the money to pay for the cups she is taking from the basement.
- Two kids are sleeping upstairs, and
- the boys are holed up in their bedroom playing some playstation game.

Rylan has been picking cherries for Mark Bezzant. It has been great because he gets up at 6:00 am and works until noon. He will be able to earn a bit of money this summer. Last week he did suffer from his allergies, and he had a few rough days. Right now, I think he is eating too many cherries as he has to visit the loo (toilet) several times!!!

Life is good and I can't complain.

January 1, 2009

Well, I am new to the blogging world. I guess it is time to get with the program and try something new - so this is it.
I am so enjoying the Christmas break. The kids have been wonderful and Dan has had time off to just relax. I have had a much needed break from daycare. Don't get me wrong, I love the kids I watch, but it is nice to have a break from them. I was actually able to put a puzzle together without any little fingers trying to pull the pieces off the table. (It took me two days - staying up past 1:00 a.m. two nights in a row). It was five years ago when I last attempted to do a puzzle. I have also been a lazy butt and have slept in for the last week or so. I am usually up by 6:30 a.m. so getting out of bed at 9:00 a.m. has been a treat! I was also able to de-clutter one of my cupboards today. I was actually looking for my staple gun and couldn't find it, so therefore, cleaned the cupboard out. It turns out the staple gun was in the filing cabinet drawer!
Now I need to find my primary children's song book. It has disappeared. I found the small one under my bed and then when I went to get it to prepare for Sunday - the small book has now disappeard (only two hours after I found it under the bed). WHY DOES THAT ALWAYS HAPPEN?? Of course none of my children know anyting about it. I am excited that I am once again leading the junior primary in music at church. It is such a fun calling and I am goofy enough to actually enjoy it. I have heard that there are 15 sunbeams coming into primary - that should be interesting.
Well, I am not ranting away and not saying much. I will get the hang of the blogging world and I am sure have fun with it. So tra for now.
